Two weeks ago we participated in the San Francisco SPCA's “Dogs on the Catwalk” fashion show. This event is one of the many community outreach programs to encourage adoption of the San Francisco SPCA’s dogs and cats. The show featured designs from Jill Milan, Bows ‘N Ties, and Claire Farwell London, along with accessories from Mijo & Bambi, Scutte, and Yap. About 2,000 people RSVP’d for the event and 120 cats and dogs were adopted through the weekend.

The show kicked off with the latest designs from Claire Farwell London, a brand which emphasizes femininity and design detail. The collection embodies modern sophistication – the perfect staples for day-to-night looks, styles for the international jetsetter, and reversible designs to expand any wardrobe.

Jill Milan’s models showed off a range of handbags for day and night. We also debuted our first line of all-vegan coats and jackets. (Stay tuned for our announcement on those.)

Bows ‘N Ties showed its collection of neckwear created specifically to support the San Francisco SPCA. All profits from its Dogs ‘N Ties line of scarves and ties are contributed to the SPCA. The models were accompanied by senior dogs from Muttville, a senior dog rescue that finds homes for dogs aged 7 and older, specializing in senior dogs that have been given up and are not likely to find adopted homes.

Models from Jill Milan and the other brands finished the show by walking the catwalk with some of the fine dogs up for adoption. Some of Jill Milan’s models also took the adoptable pigeons and doves from Palomacy Pigeon and Dove Rescue down the catwalk. The evening closed with a performance by the musical group Sit Kitty Sit.
